Wreaths Across America

Join us on National Wreaths Across America Day on December 15, 2018! Wreaths Across America will be coming to the Fort Ontario Post Cemetery for the first time this December! Wreaths Across America’s mission touches the lives of thousands of school, scout, civic and religious groups across the country through fundraising for wreath sponsorships. These groups help ensure the goal of placing a wreath on each hero’s grave. WAA’s mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at over 1,400 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states and abroad.

Join us by sponsoring (purchase) a veterans’ wreath to be placed at each of the graves in our Post Cemetery. The Fort Ontario Post Cemetery has the remains of 77 individuals dating back to the French and Indian War through World War Two. Once we reach our goal of 77 sponsored (purchased) wreaths, a Wreaths Across America truck will bring the wreaths to the fort, date and time are TBA at the moment. More information will be released as we get closer to December 15th. Thank you for all the support for our Post Cemetery.
